Work backward. Move forward.

Come on in. My name is Ryan Swarts and STRAWSMEDIA (strôs-media) is my Columbia, Mo.-based creative studio. You can read more about me later. What matters is that I know how to communicate on screen and off. I've been helping news organizations, non-profits and artistic types connect with people for the past five years.

From the classroom to the cubicle, I've acquired the know-how and skills needed to help you reach your communications goals. And to get you there, I believe in starting at the end.

Some know it as working backward. I just know that it works. Only by first pinpointing where you want to go is it possible to design and execute an efficient means of getting there. I'll start with your goals and then work backward to help you achieve them. It's even in my shop's name: Swarts spelled backward. I look ahead by first turning around. Let's go somewhere.

IP WORK: I am now in the middle of my final semester studying law at the University of Missouri. I am currently looking for work after graduation specializing in intellectual property and e-commerce law. I am also interested in free speech law. Check out my updated résumé.

NEW CLIENT: In December, Kerker Advertising contacted me about doing some design work for Valley Fresh Foods. In total, the project ended up comprising a full-scale mock up of a new brand image complete with comps for the company's new website.
